Part of the A320neo family of twin-engine, single-aisle, narrow-body planes. The A321n is used for short-to-medium-haul flights of up to 7400km (4598mi). The longest of Airbus's neos, this plane usually seats between 180 and 220 passengers, and up to 244 passengers. It uses either CFM International’s LEAP-1A engine or Pratt & Whitney’s PurePower PW1100G-JM geared turbofan engine. (Airbus)
According to Airbus, the A21n's new engine technology, along with "aerodynamic-enhancing Sharklets on the wings," bring "20% lower fuel burn per seat, 5,000 tonnes less CO2 per year, and a noise footprint that is 50% lower for passengers and airports."
